When NEDSteel Construction and Development Corporation was established in 2009, it brought the advantage of computer technology into the ever-growing requirements of the housing and construction industry. With a knowledgeable and industry-seasoned team behind it, the company began to engage in general construction business, including but not limited to, the design, fabrication and manufacture of steel frames. Its pilot project was to build 500 units of single-detached houses on a 5-hectare land in Trece Martirez, Cavite. Its own Light Gauge Steel Framing Technology transforms the way houses and other low-building structures is created, making them stronger, cost-effective and faster to assemble.
NEDSteel also engages in the construction and development of real estate properties, project management, and trading of steel frames and related accessories. Ultimately, the company’s goals are to alleviate the backlog in the low & mid-income housing sector; increase its service capability through proper networking; expand its network into neighboring countries; and participate in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of calamity-stricken regions in the Philippines and other countries through non-government organizations like Habitat for Humanity International. NEDSteel has assisted Habitat for Humanity rebuild in 2003 a community of about 3,000 houses razed by fire in Baseco Compound, Tondo, Manila.
